A wee declutter blog!

 ‌Declutter challenge

During our 30 days clear out challenge I thought it would be fun to throw in a little decluttering challenge for the girls to distract them from any temptations, mind the girls have all worked through this pandemic, which is enough of a distraction I know, but hey it’s a challenge blog-so why not!

Benefits

Decluttering is known to boost mental health and wellbeing as well as one's ability to remain well organised and live a calmer, less stressful life. According to Marie Kondo's method, everything you decide to keep in your home should be something which can 'spark joy, so I declutter when I can and I do love the folding method"

Who and what can you declutter?

There is so much you can de-clutter in your life- see the list and links below for more information

‌Seems nothing is off-limits!

There are many experts out there giving excellent advice on ‘who’ or ‘what’ you can declutter -it is quite interesting.  Even Stacey Soloman had an episode aired on the BBC giving advice 'Sort your life out'  -  but for this blog, we will follow Yvonne’s WATSAP advice as she is quite an expert herself now, she does not her own blog yet-

Yvonne lives by her own mantra see below:

"three things I consider when decluttering...

  •  Is it ESSENTIAL
  •  Is it PRACTICAL
  •  Is it PLEASURABLE
and recycle where you can"!

See pictures of Yvonne's efforts so far - a total of 78 items cleared to date-well done! ๐Ÿ‘

Kirsty – cleared out her toddlers’ clothes and blankets and donated them to the local charity.

Martine - has cleaned out the oven, cleared out her garage, and has been on a spring clean and decluttering as she goes!

Fiona is on a mission to clear out paperwork and Pauline has been clearing out her front and back garden too. Liz and Christine have been clearing away things that ‘do not bring them joy'

Me -I ‘helped’ decluttered my son’s room along with some of my paperwork and the odd drawer as I go.

Keep it up guys and don’t forget to recycle where you can- ๐Ÿ˜€
